Dear Friends, Here we are entering our 8th year of providing quality guided hunts. We hope that you will consider joining us this year, so we can share our passion for hunting with you. We have had several impressive buck sightings, so we know that there are some “big ones” just waiting for you to sit in the stand. The fall food plots were planted and are showing good growth even with the lack of rain. The deer stands have all been cleaned out and reworked. The stands blown over during hurricane Ike are back in place. The areas located in the back of the property and on the pipeline consistently seem to attract the deer. There are deer tracks everywhere. The duck blinds have been brushed up and we have put more benches in the flooded timber spots. The ponds have been drained and will be flooded soon. There is lots of natural vegetation that will definitely attract the ducks. Early teal season was great at the beginning. We have already seen several groups of mallards and widgeons. It is supposed to be a cold winter, which should push the ducks to our area. You can hunt open water, flooded timber, box blinds and pit blinds. Most of the blinds can be reached without waders so you can stay “high and dry”. There is even a blind with a recliner and a kitchen. We hope to have the snipe back this year. For those of you that were able to hunt snipe with us in previous years, you know how much fun they are. Here is a list of the upcoming hunting seasons:
To reserve your hunting experience, call 936-544-3455. A 25% deposit will be required at the time of booking your hunt. To make things easier for everyone, each group should have one individual designated for gathering funds from each person in the group. Thank you for your consideration and hope to see you this hunting season on Feathercreek Ranch. Joe Eddie Blackwell
